Manchester will welcome a new toy store!
The Goofy Turtle will open a toy store at The Shoppes at Buckland Hills. The Goofy Turtle will occupy the former F.Y.E. on the first floor near Macy’s. The space most recently occupied by a variety of Pop-Up Shops. Manchester has one toy store, Time Machine, which also operates as a hobby shop. Manchester’s other toy store, Toys R Us, closed this year along with Babies R Us when the chain liquidated. A handful of toy stores will dot Manchester this holiday season; the arrival of Goofy Turtle, Go Calendar and Games taking their seasonal-perch in former Rue21, Toy City will set up shop in former Toys R Us, and LEGO will open a holiday shop in the Mall. The Goofy Turtle will open in October; and will join an impressive roster of new stores including LEGO, Curly Star, and Cricket Wireless.

LEGO plans to open their new store in the former Belden’s Jewelry storefront on the first floor of the mall. Belden’s closed earlier this year and the site has been under construction since. LEGO has started to hire employees for the store. The store is part of an upcoming holiday strategy by LEGO, seemingly to get products to consumers following the collapse of Toys R Us. LEGO will open the new store in late September. 'It is unlikely that LEGO is opening a new permanent store at the Buckland Hills Mall, at least not in time for the Christmas season. Therefore the job position will be a seasonal storefront.' -A statement from a LEGO Rep.
