Buckland Business Brief 12/12/2018

Closings:

• Fix and More has closed their Evergreen Walk store, the store was located in the former 'The Limited' location.

 

• Crazy 8 will close all their remaining stores, Crazy 8 is owned by Gymboree, which closed their Buckland store last year.

 

• Lands End will close their location inside Sears on January 8th, a liquidation of the store is going on now, everything in the Lands End section is 50% off.

​Openings:

• Ziya has opened a new location at The Shoppes at Buckland Hills, the store is located on the first floor in the former Francesca's. 

 

• Mocha Emporium is preparing to open their new location at the The Shoppes at Buckland Hills. The cafe will open in the former Teavana.

 

• Fanzone has opened their new seasonal store at the mall. The store took over the former Gymboree location.

 

• Hickory Farms has opened their seasonal kiosk, on the first level of the mall near JC Penney.

 

• Just Cozy has opened their seasonal location in the former Mrs.Field's location at the mall.

 

• Jersey Mike's Sub has opened their Buckland location! The grand opening is today! The restaurant is located in the former Alfred Angelo location.

 

• Orange Theory will open a new studio early next year next door to Jersey Mike's.

 

• Style Nails will open in the mall, the location has not been released.

• Claire's has opened a new kiosk located near Native Crafts.

News and Events:

• Friendly's has reverted back to full service at their Manchester location. Friendly's was testing a new express concept, featuring an smaller menu and faster service.  The chain reverted back late last month.

• Bennet Academy's Chorus will be at The Shoppes at Buckland Hills on Dec. 12th singing two sets at 5:30pm & 7pm near Barnes and Noble.

• Continuing the live music at the mall, The Salvation Army Band plays every Saturday thru Dec. 22nd in front of upper Macy's. Times are usually around 2:30pm.

• The Mall will also feature a holiday Pop-Up Shop event on Dec. 15th from 12pm - 8pm located across from Dick's Sporting Goods. This is where we invite local artisans and crafters to sell their products or services here at the mall.

Shameless Dairy Queen Plug:

• Dairy Queen on Hartford Road will be hosting their annual cake sale on December 22nd, 2018. 6'' and 8" Cakes will be half off along with cupcakes!
