Opening:

Habitat for Humanity Restore
will open in the former New Shepard Supply Company. The Restore is a chain of stores operated by Habitat for Humanity that sells donated furniture, building materials, and more.

Jefferson Fry Company will open their fourth location at Tri-City Plaza! The local chain sells gourmet burgers, sandwiches, and fries. The chain will take over the former Menchies space near Wingstop.


Sweet Lotus Yoga Studio has opened at Vernon Commons! The new yoga studio is owned by Lisa Gaumond. They offer many different classes every day. Check out their website for more details.

The former Wang’s Buffet space in Ocean State Job Lot plaza has been leased according to a leasing packet released by Northeast Retail, the broker for the property. It’s unknown at this time who the new tenant will be.

A new smoothie shop has opened in Friendly’s, the Smoothie Factory ghost kitchen is located in the Friendly’s building, and operates as delivery only. 

Quest Diagnostics has relocated their Vernon office. The Vernon location used to be located in  Vernon Commons, near Fiesta Mexicana; they have moved up the street between Dunkin Donuts and Super Cuts, less than a mile down the road. 

Paul’s Record Boutique is scheduled to replace the recently closed Vernon Vintage Vinyl / New England Jukebox location on Talcottville Road. Vernon Vintage Vinyl closed earlier this summer after the owner passed away.

Advanced Orthopedics New England has opened an orthopedic walk-in clinic at 224 Hartford Turnpike. The new clinic took over a few vacant spaces, once occupied by another walk-in, and a hair salon.

Vape & Smoke has opened in Vernon, the smoke shop took over the vacant space next to Cut to the Chase hair salon. 

The Cone Head Ice cream stand at GolfLand should be opening in the next few weeks. The building is nearing completion.

Square Peg Pizza’s new location is well under construction! The former Little Mark’s building has been framed and enclosed. Look for them to open later this year. 

Cup’s Washeteria is now open on Windsor Avenue. The laundromat took over the spot formerly occupied by WaWa Laundromat.


Closing:
AT&T next to Starbucks has closed their doors. This location was a franchised location, with no corporate relation. The site is currently for lease. 

WaWa Laundromat has closed their doors. The laundromat will soon become Cup’s Washeteria.

Berkshire Bank has closed their location in Vernon. The bank was located at The Shops at 30 in a space once occupied by SBM.
